Botado Golf Course

– near Peniche

Botado golf course runs parallel to the dunes of Consolação Beach near Peniche on Portugal’s Silver Coast, a location of natural beauty that has been transformed into an appealing nine hole course. A links-style course, Botado Golf features six lakes and big bunkers that make for a challenging short game, especially as the juniper forest through which it runs is a preservation area. Balls lost in that section of the course can be considered lost.

botado-lakeA variety of sand hazards, along with the ever present threat of water in the ocean and man-made lakes, makes for a challenging game requiring concentration and skill and perhaps a supply of spare balls.

Although only nine holes this Costa de Prata course offers different setting-off tees on each of its holes to allow a second round, different from the first, to be played.
